I have had a ARE Cap installed onto my Suraru BAJA. After it was installed I found that the bed extender doesn't freely swing in and out anymore. With the recommendation from another Baja owner on the NASICO BAJA forum to modify the bracket. Here is how I did mine:

Tools Required (10mm crescent wrench or socket, 1/4" socket for the bit, T25 Torx bit, 5mm Allen wrench; ~1 1/2" 6mm hex head bolts (I chose the hex head bolts because of the limited selection at my hardware store), 3/4" spacers):

This is the bracket w/ one of the bolts missing to find the correct ones need.

This is what it looks like with the bracket off.

The original spacers are back in so the install will be correct.

The bracket with the new bolts, old black washers, and spacers.

Close up of the bolt and both spacers.

The bracket now installed.

With the bed extender now adjusted, I can fit it in and swing it open and closed. It just catches a little on the clocking rings on the cap, but with just a little force, it slides past the rings and falls in or out.
